IT consulting for Open Knowledge

Calvet IT is a Norwegian company dedicated to promoting Open Knowledge in IT consulting.

Every IT consulting engagement is an opportunity to discover new knowledge. Unlike other companies, our goal is to share this knowledge with humanity, rather than keeping it as a proprietary asset.

IT industry challenges:

  • IT professionals waste time and resources reinventing the wheel. For example, many struggle with the same implementation challenge due to poor documentation.
  • Money is wasted as many IT projects across multiple entities start from scratch despite having common challenges and requirements, such as implementing the same vendor solution.

Solution:

  • Share knowledge about common challenges and collaborate to improve it, freeing time and resources to focus on unique customer requirements.
  • Public and private entities do not start projects from scratch; they access knowledge shared from previous engagements, allowing the project to focus on their unique requirements. Their own projects may contribute to improving this shared knowledge.

Our methodology:

Calvet IT provides standard IT consulting services with a unique approach: our contracts include an IP property section that permits the sharing of discovered knowledge, provided it does not involve sensitive or competitive advantage customer assets. Read more
